Do I need a referral from my OB?
No referral needed. You can book directly with us — just bring your Medicaid card to your appointment.
Will this replace my regular prenatal care?
Not at all. Your NIPT here is in addition to seeing your regular OB. We're an extra resource, not a replacement — and we'll happily send your results to your doctor if you'd like.
Is Medicaid really going to cover the full $349 test?
Yes. The NIPT test fee ($349) is fully covered by Medicaid plans. There's a small $50 in-office visit fee that's separate from the test cost.
What if I have private insurance instead of Medicaid?
Most private insurance plans partially cover the NIPT — what isn't covered, you can pay out-of-pocket (the full test is $349 without insurance). Text us with your insurance info and we'll check coverage before you book.
How early in pregnancy can I get the NIPT?
From 9 weeks gestation. If you're not quite there yet, we can also offer a gender blood test as early as 6 weeks — ask us about options.
How accurate is the gender result?
99%+ accuracy. Because the gender is determined from baby's DNA in your blood (not from an ultrasound view), it's one of the earliest and most reliable ways to find out.
What if my OB tells me I should do the test through them instead?
The test itself is the same — but with us, you'll often get it sooner, get gender included, and get the carrier screen alongside. Many moms tell us they wish they'd known they had a choice.
